1966: WHO moves into its own building after 20 years in the Palais des Nations. The WHO headquarters, just outside of Geneva, was built from 1962 to 1966. Jean Tschumi (1904-1962) of Lausanne, Switzerland, was the architect of the building. It is a concrete structure of 150 metres long, 20 metres wide, and 34 metres high supported by 22 columns.
